''What you are as a person is far more important than what you are as a basketball player."

John Wooden
(1910-2010)
I think that he means the character you are is more important than being a basketball player. You can be the best basketball player out there, but you can have a really bad character. Your character shows a lot about you. Being a great basketball player is a bonus, but the person you are is far more important. If you are a person with strong, great character, you'll take your team to places far from failure. However, if you are bossy or if you choose to do drugs to boost your ability, chances are your team is going to hit the ground and reach failure. Sometimes having a great character in the court can boost you up to victory. Your team will like you for who you are. Sometimes even people would admire the way you act. Sometimes being a bad person/basketball player can make things worse. Your team won't depend on you, and they can even care less about you. Sometimes even the team will hate you and they will face their backs at you. Sometimes you won't even get along with your teamate, that you might even become enemies. That's why being a good person is important than being a basketplayer because you won't get hated on for being a bad person.

''True wealth is of the heart, not of the purse."

Pathros

Patriach of Antioch &All the East, 1846-1894

In my opinion this quote sounds very nice. Being wealthy and happy shows a lot, and that you are confirmed with what you have. Many people are ungreatful and want more and more. The only thing that brings them happiness is the money and those people are usually disapointed. Being wealthy from the heart shows true happiness. Money can't buy happiness. Only your heart can buy happiness. Anyone can have wealth depending on their state. But wealth coming from a purse, or in this case money, won't lead to happiness.

''When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad.''

Abram Lincoln

To begin with this quote is meaning that if you choose the right to do something you'll feel awsome and great. However, some people do the opposite, and as a result they get these negative feelings like sad, anger, or embarrassed from their actions. In my opinion, I somewhat agree because sometimes doing the right feels bad and doing what was wrong felt good. This case only happens rarely, but most of the time doing something good, will most likely make you feel good about yourself and rise up your self-esteem. Doing the wrong will only make you stupid and will also make you feel stupid. An example of doing the right is talking to a person who just happens to have a bad day and cheer them up a bit. An example of doing the wrong, is talking back to the teacher. To do the right, is probably going to make you feel warm, happy, and glad just to make someone's day less miserable. Another example of doing good, is to help out anyone who looks like they are struggling. Nothing is much dirtier than doing the wrong. Doing the wrong all leads to regret and disapointment.

Freedom

‘’The key to freedom is obedience. The more obedient we are, the more freedom      we have”

In my opinion I have to agree, because decisions determine where you going to end up. Major disobedience can lead to even freedom being taken away. Being disobedient is very serious and could lead to jail or even life-time to prison. Prison is there for those who choose to disobey. Prisoners choose to do the wrong, and their freedom is taken away. They are surrounded with four concrete walls, with no freedom, no fresh air, and no nothing. Sadly they have to go through that every day. However, if you choose to be obedient, your lifestyle will be great. Freedom is earned, and it isn’t easy, but freedom is a great reward for being obedient. Obedience isn’t going to take you to dangerous and serious consequences. Therefore, being obedient is great, because life is much more enjoyable.

Freedom is a reward and a gift given to you, for being obedient. The world can use more obedient people.
As a consequence, most disobedient people end up in prison, where no freedom is given.

Cardiologists
Cardiology is the study of the heart. A cardiologist is someone who treats and specializes on the heart. They study specific medicines and cures to their patients. Some patients suffer heart disease or other medical problems involving the heart. These patients usually go to cardiologists to see what kind of solution they’ll get out of them. Sometimes these people prevent their own patients’ deaths from horrible heart diseases like diabetes. Unfortunately, for some people it’s fatal and nothing could be done. Some cardiologists also treat heart disorders. For example, if you heart where to pump more than usual, these cardiologists will do research and eventually find out what’s wrong. Usually when you approach to cardiologists at a clinic or a hospital, they will most likely do physical exams, like checking blood pressure. They would also check on your weight, heart, lungs, and blood vessels if something is wrong. Other examinations are an ECG or an X-Ray.
Salary: $461,000 - $512,000
Education:

Without an education, you won’t move on. A cardiologist needs massive education as a requirement. Four years of medical school, and three years of training in general internal medicine is also required. Then you move on to a more specialized training center where people do training within three years. About 10 years is how long the requirements take. In order to be a cardiologist. A cardiologist must have 10 years of medical educational experiences, and must take a two day exam given by the American Board of Internal Medicine. This exam proves how knowledgeable and how careful the person is. If you know a lot about the medical field, chances are you will be a cardiologist.

911
Moment of piece…
This was a day that America didn’t knew what was coming. Tragedy, death, and terror were all over the streets of New York with many losing their lives. It was a nice morning, everyone drinking their coffee on their way to work, people doing their businesses, and others who stayed home taking care of kids didn’t knew what was coming. Around 8:46 am, the American Airlines Flight 11 had crashed into the Northern side façade of the World Trade Center’s North Tower. Soon around 9:03 am, American Airlines Flight 77 had crashed in the into the southern façade of the World Trade Center’s South Tower. Major destruction occurred around 9:59 when the South Tower couldn’t stand, and just completely collapsed. After burning for almost 56 minutes, the South Tower fell to ruins, crashing down on people who were still in there. Soon to follow was the North Tower, which approximately collapsed around 10:28 am after burning for 102 minutes. Unfortunately, those who were still waiting for a direction or response in the North Tower, had probably perished in the debris. As dust and debris were every were, firefighters were recovering survivors and helping them aid them.

Many couldn’t get their way through and so about 2,996 people had perished in the collapsed. Some people died instantly when the planes crashed. Others died of extreme smoke and heat.  Everyone who jumped knew there was no way they could survive. They were going to die one way or another; they chose the one they thought was less painful. Some jumpers would have been hit by flying debris knocking them unconscious, others would have died instantaneously on impact. Painlessly. R.I.P for those 2996 people who had died.

"Education is the latch key to success in life"

To begin, I have to say that I agree with Gordan because an education is something very powerful. Without knowledge, people wouldn't be doctors, polices, firefighters or people we depend on. Not even the president wouldn't be here if it wasn't for his strong effort in school and education. An education is a gift given to us, and if we choose to use it, it will lead us to the key of paradise. An education is very important because it determines what we are going to be. Not only does education benefit others, but it benefits us. Education can lead to money. Sometimes if you're really educated, some people even wind up very rich. A lot of rewards come, if you keep yourself educated. However, if you don't get education, it's most likely that person would become a huge failure in life. Missing out on education can be really bad, and could affect your future life.

''Decisions Determine Destiny"-Thomas S. Monson''
What Thomas S. Monson is trying to claim is that our actions, make up our future. If we know we are doing the right thing, we are in the right path. If you chose to do the bad thing, then your most likely to go downhill. In this world we have to kinds of people and those are the ones that choose the right, and the ones that choose the bad decisions. If you are that one person, or if you know that person who's constantly getting into trouble, slacking off, not doing homework, using drugs, and failing classes you're starting to go downhill and go the wrong path. If you're someone who tries hard, tries passing classes, tries to get to class in time, and is very responsible, you're most likely to go the right path, and you'll be awarded with such a great life. However, those that choose the wrong things, end up suffering, and once you face your consequences, its to late to start over.
