Memorial Day Weekend Reflection
This memorial day weekend was well spended. I slept early around 9:30 and I felt great waking up each morning. As usual I did my morning stretches, and I helped out my family with breakfast. I feel so appreciated to wake up and spend time with my parents. Not many people have a father or a mother present to help them. Some families neglect a child and don’t feed it. Well, I am very thankful to have loving parents. So what I did was help them make pancakes and help cook eggs. I also watched a movie called Oh God. It was an old film from 1977, that I watched. It was about a man who had a dream with God to spread his message. People believed he was crazy and psychotic but he followed through God’s command. However, because of the man’s belief he was fired from his job. God told him he’ll find a solution and he will always be there to listen when he’s sad, lonely, happy or concerned. It was a good heart felt movie. Furthermore, I decided to read some comics over the weekend. I enjoy the visuals in the Aquaman New 52 series. Even though people believe heroes are childish, I still enjoy these classic heroes. I also had a friendly debate with my brothers on issues that are happening in society. Basically, I was either against or for this issue. It was fun debating because I like to be competitive, and because I would want to be a lawyer or politician. Besides all the fun, I also did a math homework. I finished it easily in 8 minutes. Then I studied for an upcoming test for Biology which will take place on Thursday. I went to McDonald's as well and there I saw what appeared to be a man who serves in the military. I decided to buy the man cookies, and so I died. When I died, the man kindly hugged me and said thank you. He lost a brother years ago while he was serving. In a way I felt like I contributed to this holiday because of the act. It was so emotional, and really great. I felt this was a good act of kindness, and I certainly made someone’s day.
