Sports medicine is also known as sports and exercise medicines. Sports medicine is a variety of treatments and cures that involve physical treatment. In other words sports medicines help out those injuries relating to sports. Physical movement are effective treatments, for those who have had an injury relating to sports. Common injuries these doctors treat are concussions, sprains, ACL tears, and muscle cramps. People involved in sports medicines are physicians or surgeons.

Salary:
A sports medicine doctor will see a annual salary of $43,370 in one year.

Education:

Doctors wanting to work in the sports medicine field must have a 4 year premedical degree. As soon as that is out of the way, they must enter a 4 year medical school. However, they must pass the Medical College Admission Test before entering medical school. After 4 years are finished, 3 years of residency comes. Usually after the three years are over, they can go into a sports medicine fellowship. These fellowship programs help these upcoming doctors plenty of information on what to expect in the job, how to examine an in injury, or even how to treat spinal or brain injuries. After that fellowship is over they are allowed to get certified and became a doctor in sports medicine.
