''I wasn't trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right."

Dean Smith
1931-2015
Dean Smith did something great in his life. Througout his life he lived it well. Because he chose the right, he lived the life he deserved. This man was an incredible CTR person and a good person a team could look up too. This quote basically describes how he got to that high point of his career. He choosed the right as a young man. It was because he choose the right, that he left a living legacy behind. He really didn't seem to care if his team won or loose. He simply cared if they played fair. Any coach, should make that a goal. Throughout his career, he probably lost a few games, but he was mature enough to accept the loss. When the other rivals lost the game, he didn't cuss with excitement. He didn't even made fun of their loss. He did a CTR move when he congratulated his rivals. He basically played them fair and right. What Dean Smith really wanted was his team to know what is right and to do what is fair. He wanted his team to play fair. It didn't really matter, if they lost because anyday they are a winner. With this saying, he wants us to do some right, so our future can turn out great. Mr. Smith obviously choose the right as a young person, and so he left behind a legacy, in wich it still lives on.
