Class Evaluation

  1. I liked this class so much. It was my favorite class, and I always looked forward to the student success statements. The reason I liked the student success statements the most is because it relates to real life situations and experiences that even I can relate. When Mr. Haymore told us to right 10, I laughed inside and went beyond that. I just truly like writing so much, and I am going to miss sitting here.
  2. The thing I really didn’t liked about this class, was the fact that we really couldn’t share what we wrote about in our student success statement. I felt like we should have shared what we wrote, and what we believed in.
  3. To improve this class I'd suggest to make people share out, because it gets those shy ones to talk more. Another thing to improve the class is to add some student success statements from maybe more female figures. Overall, everything is fair enough. Nothing really has to change except, maybe letting people talk out.
  4. The highlights of this class was definitely when we were researching about a career. This one career in particular made me realized what I want to do and that would be a cardiologist. I truly felt, that this is what I want to do, and I will continue pursuing that. Furthermore, another highlight would be accomplishing and writing victories on my goals journal. I take it serious now, and I shall write even by 2020.
  5. I personally felt, I did my best in this class in general. I used my time wisely, and I wrote the best I could in the student success statement. I payed attention to the examples of the videos you played us. Other people might have laughed at the situation, but I put myself in the person's shoe. On the goals journal I tumbled, between April, but I realized it was just as vital as anything else. Overall I did well in this class, and I respected my classmates.
  6. Yes I am reading my goals journal daily. I have been and I realized how it can open doors. I never feel bored because this has me covered up with things to do and take care of. So yes, I will continue to do so, even up to my college years.
  7. I have been committed to being a CTR person in the first semester. I will continue to pass it on to my friends, families, and strangers. I have made a numerous amounts of CTR experiences, and I am looking forward to make some good this summer.
  8. What I learned in this class was a variety of lectures and importance to life. I learned the true meaning of life, and what's right and wrong.
  9. What I will remember most about this class is Mr. Haymore's enthusiasm to teach the class. I will always remember the kind voice he has, and that sunny bright smile. You truly are a great teacher, and I mean it from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
“You will go far with CTR.”
~Mr .Haymore

This speaks the truth and the reality of life. It is the ultimate choice we can make in our entire life. Decisions determine destiny, if the person made a right choice. Choosing the right, will always keep a person away from danger. Nothing wrong will happen, and a person will feel peace within themselves. Like Mr. Haymore said, choosing the right will get a person into higher state. Personally, I live through these three words every single day, and I will continue doing that. Choosing the right will give a person a true identity, a true identity in which people will admire. Always follow what the little angle on your shoulder says. We all have that little tempting devil in our shoulder, but we must be strong to resist. By experience, I’ve known people or heard of people who messed up their lives. Some messed up due to the use of drugs, or having the worst friends. It is unfortunate, because even my classmates haven’t open their eyes. I know classmates that due drugs or are involved with gang influences. It is quite sad, because if they keep it up, they will regret the opportunity they had here. They don’t go anywhere else but misery. I thank Mr. Haymore very much for these three words you given. I also thank my mother for not letting me out in the streets giving me a book to read. That is wear all the negativity begins. With hope, faith, and these three words, (choose the right), a person will truly go far, and that’s a fact.

Melissa and Benjamin
Melissa was a one of a kind waitress. She cared a lot about her studies, and she was so kind to her customers. Melissa had a goal to be a registered nurse. However she struggled her way to get there. She had to work at the Peach Tree Restaurant to help her financially with her studies. She would be a nice and welcoming waitress. She had many customers, yet she never was rude towards them. She never responded aggressively towards her clients. Instead Melissa was a kind hearted woman towards everyone in the restaurant. Her usual client Benjamin is also a person with good character. He would know her since he always liked that place. Melissa noticed something odd, and so she rather chose the right. Benjamin took note at her actions and was astonished and full of glee because of her actions. As a result, Benjamin decides to help her with her financial needs. 2 years later, she is a nurse waiting to be a doctor soon.
“ If there is beauty in character, there will be harmony in the home. If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world. Conclusion: If there is beauty in character, there will be peace in the world.”
Chinese Proverb

This statement itself is well said and scholarly written. It is true that beauty in character does set out a structure. This structure is unbreakable, and can resist. The structure that comes from character’s beauty, sets out an example of what’s right. The structure brings peace and security. Having good character brings out peace in your home and your surroundings. When people are like this, society becomes peaceful. The whole world becomes peaceful because of this beautiful character. Having a beautiful character means that you are respectful to anyone no matter what they are, their belief, or their preference in something. The reason why sometimes peace is hard to find is because people have a revolting character. This hideous character brings out racism, discouragement, and destruction. There is no structure in that, since it basically collapsed. People don’t respect others. A beautiful character what be accepting of one’s race, sexuality, belief and gender. When that happens peace is shared among others. A peaceful environment is nice too. People must also respect the environment, and take care of it. Plants and innocent animals are at peace when that happens. A beautiful character shall always bring peace at home, society, and this world. A beautiful character can start at home by helping a beloved friend, family, or neighbor. Starting out as a beautiful character can also begin by giving to the need. I myself can say I’ve been a good character, since I helped a struggling student, and I have bought cookies for a soldier during Memorial Day. It truly felt peaceful and wonderful as a result. Someone who is unaccepting, disrespectful, and rude doesn’t bring peace into society. They actually bring in negativity, chaos, disturbance and disaster. Misery are upon those with ugly characters. Only peace and beauty are within beautiful character.
Social Media Risks Among Young Users

A lot of young teenagers and preteens have been reported to have had more depression than an actual adult. Back then teens weren’t as depressed not like today’s youth. The reason for this is because many access to social media has increased. Today some teens aren’t outgoing, and some spend excessive time on a screen for more than 2 hours. This isolates a teen, and puts them into social isolation. We came to a point in which technology is taking more control of us. With the rise of Snapchat and Instagram, more teens prefer to waste time, than to actually be productive. Surveys have proven that 80% of social media users are actually young teens. Technology has taken a bad turn for certain people. Social media can be quite powerful, and some people become addicted. Sometimes this addiction can be negative, since all they care about is this cyber world. As a result they are rather isolated. In a social media world, no eye contact is expressed, no actual conversation happens, and it is not the same interaction. Depression happens to these addicted users. Not only has social media affect a person negative but physically too. Teens tend to sleep less because of this result. They rather just keep checking on social media, than to rest their eyes. This year many people saw in increase of glasses, because phones have damaged eyesight due to the bright screens. People damage their neck as well, due to looking down on their phone. What’s being done is that people are spreading awareness, and are trying to get people off their phones.
Personally, its quite sad that today’s youth would rather have a phone that entertains them than actually going outside and be adventurous. Social media apparently is what makes them live. Social media is truly disgusting, because they spread the wrong messages to the youth. People do compare themselves to others and that’s what brings them down. Everyone is amazing, and social media shouldn’t define anyone.

Winner or Losers

Life is so competitive. Every person wants to be a winner, everyone wants to be a champion. However, not all of us win the big prize. Malik Stewart lost to his opponent, Mitchell. He’s been a good character before and after the wrestling match. I admire him for having that heart of gold, because not everyone will act this way. The fact that he lost made him prouder of what he gain out of. He knows deep in his heart he came so far fairly. Some people who would have lost will storm out and cuss. Others would have cheated, but Malik is such a fair person. He congratulated his opponent and it was a day to remember. No one is a loser if they played the game fairly. He simply has been a winner all along. In the other hand we have Roman Chapa. Roman Chapa won the horse race unfairly. I truly feel disgusted based off his actions. It truly is horrible to abuse an innocent creature just to win. Electrocuting a horse wasn’t necessary. Horses are animals that feel pain and have feelings. This shows animal cruelty as well. Either way if he wasn’t photographed, he’ll live with that prize knowing he cheated. If that photo didn't existed he would have been haunted by guilt. Now that is a true loser for taking the shortcut. A person should not cheat to win something. He should have crossed the line at fifth place because what really matters is the amount of time and effort put into something. Competitions should always be played fair.
‘’I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating.” Sophocles

Sophocles has said something so splendid. This statement should prove that people should do any situation fairly. In life there is no shortcut, and if there is it is rather a dead end. When a person cheats, they automatically prove they are a loser. Cheaters tend to feel insecure or self-conscious about what they do. Cheaters as a result stop trying, and focus on ways to get to the top without having difficulty or struggles. This does not show good character as a result. These cheaters have passed a test unfairly, by looking up or sneaking in the answers. These cheaters win medals and awards for boosting their ability. It certainly isn’t fair for those who are trying because those are the winners putting the effort in. Cheaters don’t bother putting in effort, because they are either lazy or they can figure things out. It wouldn’t feel so great knowing you cheated and that’s how you got this award. It wouldn’t feel so great if an A is inputted into the computer knowing, you found answers online. Guilt kicks in, and some people just lose it. However, not all people are like that. They get away with it, but when the day Jesus comes they shall be judged and face consequences. Cheating is such a nasty sin and no one should do it. Failing with honor shows true character, since they show pride. Coming so far, or doing as much as possible shows good character. People that don’t take shortcuts, will always feel proud on the effort they put, and how far they had come.
Memorial Day Weekend Reflection
This memorial day weekend was well spended. I slept early around 9:30 and I felt great waking up each morning. As usual I did my morning stretches, and I helped out my family with breakfast. I feel so appreciated to wake up and spend time with my parents. Not many people have a father or a mother present to help them. Some families neglect a child and don’t feed it. Well, I am very thankful to have loving parents. So what I did was help them make pancakes and help cook eggs. I also watched a movie called Oh God. It was an old film from 1977, that I watched. It was about a man who had a dream with God to spread his message. People believed he was crazy and psychotic but he followed through God’s command. However, because of the man’s belief he was fired from his job. God told him he’ll find a solution and he will always be there to listen when he’s sad, lonely, happy or concerned. It was a good heart felt movie. Furthermore, I decided to read some comics over the weekend. I enjoy the visuals in the Aquaman New 52 series. Even though people believe heroes are childish, I still enjoy these classic heroes. I also had a friendly debate with my brothers on issues that are happening in society. Basically, I was either against or for this issue. It was fun debating because I like to be competitive, and because I would want to be a lawyer or politician. Besides all the fun, I also did a math homework. I finished it easily in 8 minutes. Then I studied for an upcoming test for Biology which will take place on Thursday. I went to McDonald's as well and there I saw what appeared to be a man who serves in the military. I decided to buy the man cookies, and so I died. When I died, the man kindly hugged me and said thank you. He lost a brother years ago while he was serving. In a way I felt like I contributed to this holiday because of the act. It was so emotional, and really great. I felt this was a good act of kindness, and I certainly made someone’s day.

Wellness Specialist
Duties and Responsibilities
A wellness specialist is someone who come up with ideas and ways to improve one’s well being and health. Programs are designed to help out people and other issues running through the community. Basically a wellness specialist is someone who educates people and inform them with ways to live a healthy life. Health is really important to last a long life, and with a wellness specialist they can inform people with certain food diets, ways of coping, and other forms of helping one’s well being. Some clients are living an unhealthy lifestyle. Some people are overweight, depressed, or can’t stop a bad habit. Little by little, a wellness specialist can inform them on what to do. Losing weight is hard, smoking is hard to quit, and it is hard to cope difficult situations depending on the person. With a wellness specialist many things can change, and those habits will all be gone. Their goal is to spread awareness, and promote healthy lifestyles. Some wellness specialists work through a 9-to-5 schedule.

Salary
An average wellness specialist can see a salary of $45,000 a year. Since 2010, that has been the average salary among the field. The minimum amount of salary is $26,000.

Education
A wellness specialist must have a bachelor’s degree in health education or anything related. Some bachelor’s in human services or community health will due. A person needs to take several courses. But a bachelor’s will begin the trip into becoming a wellness specialist. After they can choose whether to get certified or not. An advantage of being certified is getting paid more. However, this person must have good abilities like communication skills, organization, working with people with different backgrounds and to multi task.

Reflection

I wouldn’t want to be a wellness specialist. I do admire them for educating my parents. I’ve known a wellness specialist who helps my mom and my special ed brother. I think what they personally do helps those people who lack of health knowledge.

“If I’ve got correct goals. And if I keep pursuing them the best way I know how, everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing right, I’m going to succeed.’’ Dan Dierdorf

Well said Mr. Dierdorf, well said. This peaks out the truth in many ways. These powerful words represent something huge. What I mean by this is that we should always persevere and follow our passions. However, we must do what’s right and make good decisions in life. That is, doing the right, should get a person successful. This formula is said by Dan Dierdorf and he has a point. We start out with the correct goals. Realistically, not everyone make correct goals. Some goals they want to achieve may either be risky or inappropriate that may hurt them or others. It is always to think about goals and their outcomes. Not all goals are good, but creating good ones bring success. It sort of like gardening. If you take proper care of a plant, you’ll gain crops. If you don’t take care of plant, you’ll gain nothing. So making correct goals are important to begin with. Effort needs to kick in as well, if a person wants to succeed. Effort shows that a person has done right. Many things that help a person succeed is a form of right. Whether it is studying, reading, or participation, your’e doing a right that benefits your path to success. I just want to say a testimony. So one time, I had a goal. This goal was to help a person become a CTR person. This particular person was an old friend. Throughout middle school he was influenced bad. At first I didn’t wanted to be friends with him because of his poor character. I then influenced him well enough that he was convinced to be choosing the right. Now he pursues to get a higher grade, and I feel proud. I made a change in someone’s life, and others can do too. Choosing the right does bring success, if you right the correct goals.

Veterinarian
Duties and Responsibilities:
I actually did research on this career months ago, but it won’t hurt to learn and discover more. A veterinarian is a person who professions in all sorts of animal’s health and well-being. Veterinarians see many kinds of patients, such as our everyday pets. Other veterinarians work with other animals from a zoo, or aquarium. What a veterinarian does varies in where they work, and which animal is being treated. Most of the time, they perform treatments and other medical performances to help out an illness. Pets and animals also visit the veterinarian to check up on their health. Their main job, is to inform the owner about proper care, advice, and other necessary info related to the pet’s well being.

Salary:
Since 2012, the hourly salary has been to $40. Averagely a veterinarian gets paid up to $42. Over the period of four years, about 73,000 jobs have been available. An average veterinarian is expected to earn a salary of $84,460 each year.

Education:
To begin with, doors are always open for those who want to be a veterinarian. The first step to gain and move forward towards this profession is to have a Bachelor’s. A Bachelor’s is one step closer to becoming a veterinarian. It is mandatory to major a science and a math course. Any science course will do. Common science courses people major in are Biology, Mammalogy, and Physics. A person then must go to a veterinary program to improve and learn. A veterinary program teach students in caring for animals, common medicines, treatments etc. Once a person finishes the program, they can be licensed and gain the experiences. Those that one to do surgery on animals must be certified.

Reflection:
No I wouldn’t want to be a veterinarian because animals are hard to help out sometimes. I do love animals, I just don’t see this as my career. In all honesty, I look up to these heroes because veterinarians are often overlooked. Animals are given a second chance to live sometimes because of a veterinarian. A veterinarian saved my dog’s life, when she was ran over four years ago. I admire these people, but I wouldn’t want to become one.
“The most important thing you will ever have is good value.”
~Dennis Prager

Good values is the most vital thing to anyone. Mr.Prager has a point to prove with good values. These two powerful words, have powerful messages behind it. Good values bring out the positivity in people. We as a society, are unique and great in many ways. Good values shapes a person’s talent as well. Good values are not just great, but it makes a person feel good. Good values are owned by people who have done right. No one who has done bad has a good value. In fact people lack good value. My fellow classmates in this computer class lack these good values. If anything they should be blessed sitting here, in front of a computer learning the importance of this quote instead of goofing off. Some people have little to no good values. Several of my classmates either don’t listen, cheat, speak over the teacher, and it’s just bad negativity they aren’t seeing. The only time they will regret not gaining any good values is in the future, where their lives are messed up. I feel thankful for Mr. Haymore for passing me these good values. I never thought about creating goals, and this good value came to me, and so I begun. All of us have something that shapes us all. Only good values are present when a person is in the right track. Every little word in Mr. Prager’s statement is pure empowering. Some of my classmate may not realize it now, but this time is such a precious time to learn. Mr. Haymore’s words, ideas, and suggestions are really helpful later in our lives. However, only some people have good value to pay attention to those words. Those who find it a joke, or don’t take this class seriously, have a lack of serious good value. I really enjoy, this class for the most part. It’s the only time I can express what I really feel and I am glad to be picking up good values each time. Reflecting on myself, I feel proud of what my friends and I become. Pretty soon, we’ll be young men and women, and the good values will be passed on from generation to generation. Good values are what represents a CTR character. Now, I can go on and on, about this, but good values are one of the most important things

“The reward for doing right is mostly internal phenomenon: self-respect, dignity, (self-worth), integrity, and self-esteem.”
~Dr. Laura Schlessinger

Mrs. Schlessinger a fact to point out. Choosing the right brings us with many rewards. In fact, choosing the right always hands us an award. Now sometimes, an award comes in objects or emotions. Not every time should a person expect an item. Although it is nice, the best rewards are the feelings you get inside. Its an amazing feeling knowing deep inside you done something right. Like, Dr. Schlessinger said, self-respect, dignity, integrity, and self esteem, are common rewards that are not items. When a person has self-respect they are happy to be in their own skin, and they are proud of what they are becoming. People who don’t have that either choose the wrong, or haven’t done some act of right. What I mean by this, is a person must do a form of right in order to feel self respect. A person who does right also lives with integrity, because it's an award they receive for being truthful. Being truthful to yourself or other around you builds a better character, and a good relationship. When things happen like that, it is considered to be a reward. Self-esteem also plays a major role, in this internal phenomenon. The reason is because people, that do right feel confident about themselves. They have a brighter mind, and a clean vision. A vision in which they can tell what’s wrong and what’s right. Self-esteem also builds up character, all together is a package of rewards that are always delivered in an instant. In life, money, luxuries, and other riches don’t matter. Only those 4 principles like Dr. Schlessinger said, are worth winning.

Sports Medicine
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sports medicine is also known as sports and exercise medicines. Sports medicine is a variety of treatments and cures that involve physical treatment. In other words sports medicines help out those injuries relating to sports. Physical movement are effective treatments, for those who have had an injury relating to sports. Common injuries these doctors treat are concussions, sprains, ACL tears, and muscle cramps. People involved in sports medicines are physicians or surgeons.

Salary:
A sports medicine doctor will see a annual salary of $43,370 in one year.

Education:

Doctors wanting to work in the sports medicine field must have a 4 year premedical degree. As soon as that is out of the way, they must enter a 4 year medical school. However, they must pass the Medical College Admission Test before entering medical school. After 4 years are finished, 3 years of residency comes. Usually after the three years are over, they can go into a sports medicine fellowship. These fellowship programs help these upcoming doctors plenty of information on what to expect in the job, how to examine an in injury, or even how to treat spinal or brain injuries. After that fellowship is over they are allowed to get certified and became a doctor in sports medicine.

Phillip Riggs’ Four Success Tips

  1. Work Hard
  2. Follow your passions. Do things you are interested in doing.
  3. Don’t chase after money.
  4. Serve others. Do good things for others, and good things will come to you.

I really like this marvelous saying. This also stands out to me, because we finally get a quote from a musician. Mr. Riggs has a point and I admire him for saying this. He has every right to deserve that Grammy award. Why? He worked hard to get to this point. Practicing and learning skills didn’t happen overnight. It took time, but eventually he got there. Secondly, he followed his passion. His passion is music, and so he pursued what really interest him. Then he decided not to really follow money, because money comes and goes either way. Lastly, he treated others the way he wanted to be treated, and so his 2016 started out with great things and even a Grammy. I could really relate to this because in life I really want to pursue music. I’m not giving up because I know the results after trying and trying. Wanting to become a musician is my second choice of career. My dream too, is to get on stage and accept a Grammy. I got a long way to go, but I still must work hard. My passions are music and piano, and I must practice enough to get better. I realized that money isn’t important because it often disappears. I mostly do what’s right, and I treat everyone one of my classmates with respect. Hopefully, I get to that point too. However, this doesn’t fall in music category. It also works with anything a person is trying to pursue. A person can be interested in music, sports, arts, cinematography, etc, but the main goal is to work as hard as you can and respect everyone, including yourself. Mr. Riggs has a major point.

World Records

My favorite world record is actually, the man who played so many piano keys in one minute. The man who holds the record is a Hungarian man, Bence Peter, who played 765 piano keys in just one minute. It fascinates me because it requires a lot of hand skills and talent. Another record that fascinates me is the oldest person who ever lived. The oldest human to live on record was 121 years of age, and that’s impressive. Her name was Jeanne Calment, who was born on 1875 and died in 1997. She did lived a really long time, and it is incredible to even make it up beyond 116 years old. Lastly, the world record that fascinates me is the largest cake sculpture to make a lot of money. The record was held in 2014, by Amanda Holden, and 12,000 slices of the cake were sended to those who needed it. These are the three records that fascinate me.
These records are all fascinating. It is really incredible how there’s a record for basically anything. Some records are based off skill, intelligence, and physical ability and it is just amazing how a person can do really crazy, impressive things. I am not considering to break a record because it just takes too much dedication. I feel like the things I do should be done, because I want to do it, not because I want to break a record. It is neat, but I feel like I shouldn’t.

‘’You knew what I was when you picked me up.”

I actually liked this Indian youth story. Behind the man, and the snake there is a lot of symbolism. The snake was so tempting, and the Indian couldn’t resist. The Indian knew how dangerous the rattlesnake was, yet he picked it up. Next thing you know, the snake backstabbed him, and bit his leg. The Indian knew how dangerous the rattlesnake was, and as a result he ended up being bitten by one. This story could had have a better ending, if the Indian could have resisted, and let the evil snake slither away. No one would have ended up hurt, but he decided to choose wrong. I can relate this to Genesis, or the Adam and Eve story. When Eve, was in the Garden of Eden, a serpent tempted her to eat the fruit. Eve knew the trouble this serpent was and the trouble she'll get into if she disobeyed the Lord, but she ate the apple anyways. Adam then was tempted. The snake or the serpent tempted and persuaded them well. As a result, there punishment was to leave the Garden of Eden and suffer. That is when the snake just bit them. This was in the old testament a long time ago. What happen to the Indian was decades ago, and snakes are still out there. This saying is still relevant till this day because what we call snakes are the people who want you to fail and do wrong, called friends. These supposed friends are really dangerous snakes, because they will drag you and get you into deep trouble. That consequence will hurt and sting just like a snake’s bite. There are people after they got bitten, learn their lesson. Their lesson is to never ever get near a snake again and pick it up. Snakes are out there in the world, slithering throughout society, waiting to catch their next victim, but it is up to the person do right. Snakes are successful if a person chooses the wrong, or is already persuaded. It is important to not fall or sleep over these snakes because it is dangerous. Snakes don't come with cautions signs.

1858-1919
(26th President of the United States)
“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.” ~Theodore Roosevelt

A wise man said this quote. I have to agree on this one, because it’s a great moment when a person does something right. A person who does wrong, doesn’t know the trouble they are about to get into or the people they are hurting. However, a person who chooses right, is aware of what they did. When a person does right, they have every right to feel happy about themselves. There are various reasons why the best thing to do is to do the right. One example, is because a person will feel good. When that happens there is a lot of positivity. All sorts of positivity is exchanged when a person does right. Some people might get a reward for doing right. But I feel like the best reward is to not get anything back, once you do right. Why? Well because it is the feeling that matters most. Another reason choosing the right is the best thing to do is because anyway it helps out yourself, or a person. When there is a critical moment, always choose the right. Some decisions are based off, our well-being, and if we choose the right, we are helping ourselves, to become a better person. Some decisions are based off, of people around us, and if we do the right thing, we’re helping a person’s well-being. In a way, we are helping both ourselves, and the people around us, when we do something right. Lastly, the reason why we should make the right decision to choose the right is because, one day, we all die. We are all getting judged based off our actions on the day of Judgement Day, and true colors will be revealed.

“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong.”
~Willford Woodruff

1807-1898

In life, people that do wrong don’t gain nothing. In fact, people do lose things such as privileges. When a person decides to do wrong, at the moment they have no idea what they will get into, but then the repercussions hit. I strongly agree with Mr. Woodruff, because people who do wrong end up being failures in this world. It is important to know, that doing wrong will not take any person to higher state. Those that do wrong now will be, prisoners, gang members, drug addicts, or other criminals in the future. Adults gone through things, and are much wiser than us teenagers. It's important to look up to them, since they are our role models. We as the adults of tomorrow, must choose the right today, so our future will be bright. It's fun and games for those that mess around, but in ten years from now, they’ll regret not doing good in school. Nothing is really gained just for choosing wrong, other than handcuffs. There are many sorts of wrongs. Wrong choices range from minor to serious consequences. Even if it is something minor like stealing a candy, or using something without permission, it could lead to guilty. Not everyone, will be caught. However, when judgement day comes, true colors will be revealed. It be better to just pay, instead of stealing. It be better to just choose right, because at the end of the day, success is gained, in doing so. Nothing is gained at all, when a person does wrong. Only regret, anger, frustration, and consequences wait in line for those that choose wrong.

“It’s a great moment when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time.”
~Pam Knox

Ms. Knox is saying that the best time is when a person of good character does a good act. This is true because it’s one of those warmest moments. We all have at least a moment in our lives that we did right. But those moments should be constant. Now, I want to admit it, but these past weeks, I’ve had low character. I didn’t feel good about myself, and I felt weak. I couldn’t really stand up for myself, and I was self doubting. I didn’t chose right, and I had quit previously in many things. This quote lights me up because that’s a person I should be. Today I realized that good character is important to step up or stand up. It’s vital for one’s self because people do infact feel great for what they’ve done. Only proper decisions makes a person feel well. Bad decisions makes a person guilty, angered, stressed, and maybe even depressed. Only great moments happen to those that do right and make decisions good decisions at the right time.

1828-1901
“I have been asked what I mean by ‘word of honor’. I will tell you: Place me behind prison walls-walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far into the ground-there is a probability that in some way or another I might be able to escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can I get out of that circle? No, never! I’d die first.”
~Karl G. Maesor

This quote, depicts a powerful meaning. Besides the literal, the circle of chalk represents something. The way this quote was said has greater meaning. Keeping words are very important, especially if they are words of honor. Not keeping them, puts a person into a circle of chalk, or isolation. Consequences exist, and as a result people suffer. He isn’t literally going to die, but what he means by this, is that he’s going to suffer greatly. This means he will stay in the circle and take responsibilities for his actions, He just won’t let it go like that, since we all make mistakes. I could be wrong though, because there is another message hiding in this quote. Maybe he will stand in that circle of chalk and not let his words of honors go.

    2. Remain close to Great Spirit           mind and body
    3. Show great respect to your             8. Dedicate a share of your
fellow beings                                      efforts to the greater good
     4. Work together for the benefit          9. Be truthful and honest at
     of all mankind                                      all times
     5. Give assistance and kindness        10. Take full responsibility for
     whenever needed                               your actions

This shows how right the native indians are. These groups of people teach their tribes to do good in their life, and as a result they go through the 10 indian commandments. This is somewhat similar to the 10 commandments from the old testament. The indians are more respectful towards each other than some of us, and it’s true. We lack the goods, sometimes, but following this is beneficial, regarding race. In fact, some of us already do these things. For example some people already, take full responsibilities of their own actions. They might lack on a few things, but to have all ten commandments and following them shows greatness. Even if it isn’t the indian commandments that people follow, the one in the old testament is similar. If any of these rules are broken, the person violates the terms. People do get consequences, for not following or breaking the rules of the commandments. It’s important to choose what’s right, because we’re living through the commandments the right way.

‘’ A promise must never be broken.”
Alexander Hamilton

I am very familiar with Alexander Hamilton to begin with. He was a founding father of the U.S, and I basically new home from a play based on him. He was a great man, and a man who thought right. He never broke his promise, or else it would be lies. He has never broken a promise, which shows integrity and honesty. A promise shouldn’t be broken if a person is committed. It is better sometimes to tell the truth, when a person can’t catch up to the promise, instead of lying. Not everyone keeps their promise, and as a result they become rather disappointed. Alexander Hamilton is right, because no one shall break a promise if they really mean it. Not committing to a promise shows true color, and that person will never be trusted. Only people who can commit to a promise, are more responsible and more trusting.

‘’Goodness is the only investment that never fails.”
Henry David Thoreau

1817-1862
Goodness is definitely the only investment that will never ever fail. Financial investment does fail at times, but to invest goodness and positivity, means it will never fail. A right mind, with a good spirit, and a positive attitude is just a great human being. A person that invest their own goodness is considered to be a CTR person. It’s quote remains relevant, because goodness is what we should offer. Goodness is something that we should live with. Money fails and doesn’t bring anyone happiness. Money comes and goes, but if you are good within yourself, money may be back. Sometimes we have to sacrifice ourselves to demonstrate our goodness. It shows a lot of positivity and greatness when a person sacrifices themselves into doing a certain good with people. For example a person can be loyal to a friend or a family member, which shows that that person will always have their backs. Sometimes helping a person when they are in need can show a great act of kindness. Other times we can be encouraging to those who are feeling down. Defending what you stand for, or what’s right also shows maturity and goodness. Investing goodness is good, and you’ll feel good once a kind or good act has been done.
